Fly Away

When I'm bored,
I fly away.
Away into the sky.

I might just visit
Charles de Gaulle.
For the artwork
or a snooty tarte.

Or rather I shall
visit Heathrow.
Return again the
home within my heart..

Better yet I know
The Irish way.
Enjoy a pint or
beauty fields of green

Maybe visit Douglas,
Isle of Man.
Watch McGuinness'
bike past me scream.

Yes.
When I'm bored,
I fly away.
Away into the sky.

Vacation Day 10 - The Isle of Man TT (Moving On)

A random photo of the crowd watching the TT races.

Another view showing how close we actually are to the course. You can see one of the motorcycles zipping past.

Between races, we were able to move to new locations. We often took the opportunity.

As we were moving on, it gave me the chance to take some local photos. I found this house flying the Isle of Man flag.

For the most part, people watched the races from wherever they could find a seat. Here is an interesting place for rest we found.

The Isle of Man is a very hilly place.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE the view.

And never let it be said I don't take the time to stop and smell the roses. Or at least stop to photograph the local flora.

Vacation Day 10 - The Isle of Man TT Races

A picture is worth a thousand words, so today I'll let the photos do the talking.

Thanks for checking out the photos. Which one did you like? As a bonus treat, a real quick video of the bikes in motion. Just to see how fast they are truly going.

Vacation Day 10 - The Isle of Man TT (Sidecar Event)

The first race we watched was a sidecar event.

This is a photo of the backside of these racers. How'd you like to be the guy in the sidecar?

The course included many twists and turns.

Racing is very fast, very dangerous.

As you can tell, our seats were very close to the track. Any closer and we'd literally be on the track.

Sidecar 54, where are you?

Here we see sidecar 49 trying to close in on 54.

The sidecars were Dan's favourite event. Lots of action, as can be seen here.

Vacation Day 9 - Isle of Man and the Glen

The first day I was on the Isle of Man I found this Glen to explore. No more talking, just enjoy the photos.

Time to stop and smell the flowers before getting back to what the Isle of Man was all about....

Practice run of the Isle of Man TT bike races.

If you like the photos, make sure to leave a comment or share my blog pages with those you think would enjoy them as well.

P.S. - Thanks for checking out my blog!
