Somewhere not so far away
her skills are fine and true.
Adored and loved so ever more
Who'll bid the fair adieu?
The writer writes a silent word
then ponders just a scant.
You cannot rest, so off you go,
success is guaranteed.
Why stay upon a single place
when others have your need?
A versifier, lonely and hushed,
he pens his farewell thoughts.
Who, soever can fill the void,
a replacement hard to find.
Still all will cheer for her away
to which she's been assigned.
And quietly sits the poet,
there's much poetry to write.

You Will Never Read This
If you could only know,
the feelings deep inside.
How I wish it wasn't hidden,
these emotions that I hide.
My pulse begins to quicken,
when ever you are near.
The melody of your voice,
is all I care to hear.
But you will never read this,
and this I'll never tell.
How wonderful, if we could walk,
under the stars above.
No longer would I be so shy,
and I could tell you of my love.
But that is just a hopeful dream,
I'd never be so bold.
You will never know the truth,
your hand I'll never hold.
'cause you will never read this,
and this I'll never tell.

Calluna Vulgaris

I'd love to see a Scottish Moor,
to gaze in awe at the fields décor.
I've been to Paris in the heart of France,
the city of art, love and romance.
Atop the Eiffel I stood for awhile,
and enjoyed the subtle Lisa smile.
So I need to visit that Scottish Moor,
to see the perennial that I adore.
London of course is the place to be,
for the Olympic Torch or the Jubilee.
I've strolled the top of Tower Bridge,
and shopped Canary Wharf a smidge.
But I've never been to the tranquil Moor,
so I vow no longer will I ignore.
'Cause the Irish folk I do admire.
The culture rich; it does inspire.
I've seen luscious plains on display.
Still, another place I'd rather stay.
I long to be in that gorgeous Moor,
the Calluna Vulgaris to explore.

Social Butterfly

Oh social butterfly, flutter my way.
You fly about without a care,
fluttering on with your elegant flair.
Your gracefulness to others bring,
admiration of your flight,
on your brightly coloured wing.
You share your beauty, as I can see.
So why won’t you, please, fly to me?
Oh social butterfly, flutter my way.

Beautiful
Beautiful is a Summer flower.
Blooming fresh,
after a refreshing shower.
And she's beautiful every day.
Beautiful is the setting sun.
The florid colours,
when the day is done.
And she's beautiful when she smiles.
Beautiful are the stars above.
Twinkling gems,
to share with your love.
And she's beautiful in every way.

Talk To Her
Never have I been so bold,
I've always been so shy.Crippled ever by my fear,
unlike every other guy.
I saw her glancing my way,
but still I couldn't know,
Was it me she's looking for
and would our friendship grow?
I wondered this through the night,
I just couldn't make my move.
I would greet her, she would laugh,
what ever would that prove?
Then I remembered something,
the famous Jackson sung,
splendid words to keep in mind
to motivate my tongue
"I know I'm gonna know her,
gotta get over my fright,
just gonna walk up to her,
gonna talk to her tonight."
This inspired me to go,
twas then that I did see
she grew tired of waiting
and came to talk to me.

Not Wanted
Feeling rejected
Has never been a joy
For either one involved.
Embarrassment
is what you claim
because I have a crush.
It's ridiculous
yes, that I understand
you do not have to tell me.
Deep emotional
thoughts are what I have
but what you do not think of,
this burning pain
within me forcing me to act
is not what I foster and stoke.
It's not wanted.
No, I didn't ask to be beguiled
I didn't ask for infatuation.
It's not wanted!
Do you really think I wished
to pursue an impossible goal?
I never wanted to feel like this
a hopeless realization that I'm,
Not Wanted!

The Smile
I see her and I wish there was,
a reason she saw me.
But I am nothing special
and nothing for her to see.
Unrequited and ignored,
but there's something still worthwhile.
Though she doesn’t know it,
I cherish her lovely smile.
I realize she doesn’t know,
and probably doesn’t care.
Being without her hurts,
and why I feel despair
We could be two feet apart,
though it is more a mile,
I am not seen and so depressed,
and then I see her smile.
I know she is better off,
though her attention I would prize.
I have nothing of value.
And worthless in her eyes.
She sends her gaze to someone else,
a man with more appeal.
He may deserve her more than me,
But her smile I will steal.
